Lizet (Liz) joined the Transition and Belonging team as the Program Coordinator in October 2024. As a Program Coordinator, Liz assists in planning and executing events for First-year and First-Generation Niners! As a First-Generation student themselves, they hope to connect with students and assist during their transition into college. Liz’s journey started at Dartmouth College, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Geography, with a focus on youth geographies. At Dartmouth College, she was a part of the First-Year Student Enrichment Program (FYSEP), a program dedicated to serving first-generation and/or low-income students. Later on, they worked with FYSEP as interns and realized their passion for working with first-generation students. In their free time, Liz enjoys watching reality TV, hiking with her dog and partner, eating food in the CLT area, and playing/watching soccer.
